KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A swollen thumb knocked out quarterback Javier Baez from the lineup for a second game.

Robbie Grossman, a forward for the second day in a row, will be on the bench for the second day after leaving Wednesday's game with muscle tightness.

Victor Reyes will start in Grossman's position, while Harold Castro will play shortstop. Austin Meadows will run for the first time this season.

With the right thumb soreness, Javier Baez has been relegated from tonight's starting lineup.
