Realme Announced The World's First "smart" SLED TV
Realme has introduced the market's first smart TV with SLED screen technology. The new product is positioned as a safer alternative to QLED displays based on Quantum Dot technology.
According to Realme, QLED screens in the initial phase emit blue, more harmful to vision light, which after passing through the "quantum dots," becomes white. SLED uses a richer RGB spectrum (red, green, and blue) as the illumination source, resulting in "a wider color gamut than QLED, and better vision protection."
The effect of lower blue light emission and reduced eye strain is confirmed by the fact that the SLED panel has passed the TÜV Rheinland certification, the company said. Except for a different type of backlight, it is basically the same LCD screen.
The first SLED technology will debut on the 55-inch model, which has a 4K resolution and covers 108% of the NTSC color space. However, TV is not ready for sale yet. Release dates and the price in Realme will be announced later.
