Russian Biocad Will Release The Sputnik V Coronavirus Vaccine
The Russian biotechnological company Biocad will produce a vaccine against the coronavirus "Sputnik V" of the Gamalei Institute, and it also plans to establish production of a dry vaccine, the pharmaceutical company proclaimed.
"On September 23, 2020, the biotechnological company Biocad signed an agreement with the research center for Epidemiology and Microbiology. Biocad is becoming an industrial partner of the research center and will provide mass production of the Sputnik V vaccine, the company said.
In addition to the production of the liquid vaccine, the partners plan to launch the production of lyophilized (in the form of powder) vaccine, the company said. It does not require special storage conditions during transportation.
