Frank De Boer Was Appointed Head Coach Of The Netherlands National Football Team

Frank de Boer has been appointed head coach of the Netherlands national football team, according to the press service of the Royal Netherlands Football Union (KNVB).

The 50-year-old's contract runs until the end of the 2022 world Cup in Qatar. Previously, the Netherlands team was led by Ronald Koeman, who in August was appointed head coach of the Spanish "Barcelona."

De Boer's previous job was with North American major League Soccer (MLS) club Atlanta, and he also worked for Ajax of the Netherlands, which led to the national title four times, inter of Italy and crystal Palace of England.

As a player de Boer was a five-time champion of the Netherlands, twice won the Dutch Cup four times for the super Cup of the Netherlands and winner of the Champions League Cup winner, UEFA Super Cup, Intercontinental Cup in the "Ajax," champion of Spain at the "Barcelona", a three-time bronze medalist of the European Championships in the Netherlands national team.
