Oppo Find X5 Pro: A Ceramic Android Phone Pairs Up With Impressive Cameras ...

The Find X5 Pro, a flagship Android phone from Oppo, was introduced last year's Find X3 Pro, adding a host of features, including a powerful processor, a luscious design, 5G connectivity, and a large camera setup.

Like the premium phone, Google's and the brand new tick every box you'd expect from a flagship phone in 2022. Nonetheless, Oppo will have to work hard to steal your attention away from its competitors, particularly if it does not compromise on pricing.

While Oppo hasn't stated exactly how much the phone will cost (simply saying during a press briefing that it will be "competitive"), the previous Find X3 Pro was over $1,000. If it sticks to that pricing, it is squarely in the high-end flagship level with the S22 Ultra and iPhone 13 Pro. It's possible that the official price might fall by a hundred bucks to sweeten the deal.

There are a few reasons to look for Oppo's phone, but here are five things I like most about the Find X5 Pro.

Along with a colorful screen and camera, Oppo Find X5 Pro: Ceramic Design Intrigues.

Slick design

I love the appearance of this phone because it's made from ceramic that was apparently baked at over 1,000 degrees Celsius and has allowed it to be formed into this unique piece that flows up and around the camera lenses. I think it manages to be both stylish and smart, so it wouldn't look out of place in a fancy wine bar or on a boardroom meeting table.

The phone's body is made from ceramic.

The ceramic shape is quite similar to the toughened glass, but the front is made from Corning's most popular Gorilla Glass Victus. I've had to have it on the ground for fun yet, but I'm confident it will take at least a few knocks and bumps. It's also IP68 for waterproofing, so spilled beverages or phone calls in the rain should not be a problem here.

Excellent stabilised cameras

Three cameras are embedded into the ceramic design. There's a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor. Oppo has used the exact same image sensor for standard and ultrawide views, thus you will not need to sacrifice quality when switching between the lenses.

This shot is enhanced by bright colors and excellent exposure.

A lot of effort from the ultralong range.

The main lens has captured a fascinating scene here.

It's noticeable that there has been a noticeable change in colors when it comes to the ultrawide lens.

The 13-megapixel zoom lens has 2x optical zoom. It's decent, but it's not a match on the Pixel 6 Pro's 4x or Galaxy S22 Ultra's 10x zooms.

While there is a bit of a shift in color balance between the main and ultrawide cameras, Oppo says its clients are more adept at wide angle shots, but I'd like to see more zoom levels here. Whether or not you have to decide whether or not, Oppo's customers will pay attention more.

Oppo is making some big boasts about its night mode quality in both images and videos. The main sensor has the first 5-axis optical stabilization seen in a phone along with its own dedicated processing unit, which helps brighten dark shots while keeping image noise down.

This nighttime scene is stunning and heartbreaking.

In night mode, the main camera has loads of detail and spot-on colors.

I found night shots rather well, with plenty of fine details that certainly put it on the charts with other top camera phones. It's also great for nighttime shots, but I found it handy during the daytime, clearing out my footsteps as I walked around Edinburgh.

It's a fantastic camera system all over, and if you prefer those spectacular wide-angle views rather than zooming in on tiny details then you're well-prepared for it.

Display of scarcity

The Find X5 Pro's 6.7-inch display features a 3,216x1,440-pixel resolution, which makes even tiny details look pin sharp. It's a great addition to the lineup of colorful games like Asphalt 9: Legends or -- I suppose -- Candy Crush Saga.

The 6.7-inch screen is bright with bold colours.

The curve approaches the sides with an extra little premium touch, while the 120Hz refresh rate makes swiping around the interface feel velvety smooth. However, you may also reduce the resolution by reducing the usage capacity so that you'd lose time when you're settling into gaming.

Massive power

The Find X5 Pro comes up with a very powerful processor that includes Qualcomm's latest 8 Gen 1 processor. On our benchmark tests, the X5 is definitely up there with the likes of the S22 Ultra, thus it provides a smooth gaming experience.

As you swipe your way around the Android 12 interface, there's no need to worry about it, but more demanding games such as Asphalt 9: Legends or PUBG are well played. I think there's nothing I'd be able to throw at this thing that would slow down.

The Find X5 Pro has an 80-watt fast charging capability.

Solid battery and rapid charging

It's a 5,000-mAh battery that will keep you going for a whole day of mixed use. It depends on how arduous you are, however, if you barely touch it every day beyond answering the odd text, it'll have plenty of juice the next day. Spend the day streaming YouTube videos and you can expect it to require a boost in the afternoon.

This is not a long-term strategy, as the phone will convert the phone from empty to 50% full in just 12 minutes, which is great if you want that extra bit of juice before going out for a party on the beach. And that fast charger comes in the box too so you won't have to go to Amazon to discover one that will work.

Overall, the Find X5 Pro is a remarkable phone that gives you the finest performance and performance right now, as well as, the look. Sure, I'd like a better zoom lens, but the camera system is fantastic, making this phone seem to be worthy of your consideration.
