Father Of Microsoft Founder Bill Gates Dies At 94
The father of Microsoft founder bill gates, the famous philanthropist William gates, has died. He was 94 years old. Bill Gates announced the death on his Instagram page.
Gates Sr. was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, The New York Times writes.
"Dad has lived a long and extremely busy life. I never stopped learning from his wisdom, kindness, and modesty. Melinda and I are indebted to him, as his commitment to serving the community helped inspire our charity. As I have said many times, my father was the real bill gates. He was everything I aspire to," the Microsoft founder wrote. In a blog post, he noted that his father's death was not unexpected, as he was 94 years old and his health was deteriorating. Gates called his father's death a huge loss for his family and the many people whose lives he was associated with.
The Microsoft founder also posted a memoir and video in memory of his father on his blog.
William Gates was born in November 1925. He was a lawyer, philanthropist, and author of the book Birth: thoughts on the gifts of life. He was also known as "Bill Gates Sr."
