The film, set in the countryside of Mexico, sees three women dead in the midst of a tragedy and a change.

Nailea Norvind (Chronic, After Lucia), Daniel Garca (Narcos) and Antonia Olivares are all newcomers to Robe Of Gems.

Isabel (Norvind) settles in the countryside where she discovers that her housekeeper Mara (Olivares) has a missing sister. Eventually, Roberta (Roa) negotiates to rescue her son, but it ends up crossing paths with Mara. Their destinies come together in a world of misunderstanding and abandonment, despite it all.

Lopez Gallardo is a Mexican-Bolivian filmmaker, writer, writer, and occasional actress. She has produced films by Lisandro Alonso, Carlos Reygadas, and Amat Escalante.

At the 2007 Cannes Film Festival, her short film In heaven As It Is On Earth has been chosen for Critics Week.

Robe Of Gems is about "what we carry inside after years of accumulating, in our minds and dreams, infinite images of torture. Maps of clandestine graves, faces of missing people, and homicides of men and women alike. My desire is to refer to a spiritual wound and its psychological dimension the one that is not visible."
