China Plans To Deliver About 75 Billion Parcels In 2020
The Chinese courier sector plans to deliver about 75 billion parcels by the end of this year, the state postal Bureau of China reported on September 10.
China's Express delivery companies processed more than 50 billion parcels as of September 10, which is about 200 million parcels a day on average, the Bureau said.
Due to the new coronavirus epidemic, the sector saw a weakening in January and a sharp increase in February. In the second quarter of the year, as businesses resumed operations after the epidemic, the sector's growth rate exceeded 30%.
On an annualized basis, China's courier services sector posted growth of more than 40% in May this year, setting a record since February 2018, the Bureau reported.
