Russian Ministry Of Internal Affairs Intends To Participate In Investigative Actions In Germany As Part Of The Navalny Check
The Transport Department of the Russian Interior Ministry for the Siberian Federal district is preparing an additional request from Germany to allow participation in investigative actions in Germany in connection with the incident with Alexey Navalny, according to the press service of the Department.
"In connection with the publication in the media of reports about the release of A. A. Navalny from a coma, the investigative unit following the current European Convention on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters, as well as under articles 453 and 454 of the code of criminal procedure of the Russian Federation is preparing an additional request for legal assistance to the competent authorities of Germany."
The request will include a request for the possibility of the presence of investigators of the internal Affairs bodies of the Russian Federation and a Russian expert when German colleagues conduct investigative actions with Navalny, doctors and experts, including when receiving explanations. This will make it possible to ask clarifying and additional questions, the Department explained.
