China Canceled Its Largest 2020 Air Show Due To The Pandemic
Organizers of China's largest international air show in Zhuhai announced its cancellation this year due to the pandemic, according to Reuters, referring to the statement of the organizer of the salon-the company Zhuhai Airshow Co.
This information has not yet appeared on the air show website. However, when you try to buy a ticket, an inscription appears stating that the salon will take place from November 10 to 15 and that the information is currently being updated.
Major manufacturers such as Airbus, Boeing, and Commercial Aircraft Corp of China (COMAC) usually take part in this event. However, in the face of the pandemic, many Western aerospace companies have revised their plans to participate in the air show. Besides, entry to China is still severely restricted for reasons of safety for the health of citizens amid an increase in new cases of the disease.
Earlier this year, one of the world's largest air shows — in Farnborough-was canceled. But its organizers decided to hold events in a digital format — webinars, round tables, expert presentations, etc.
