Jane Campion and Guillermo Del Toro have been honored in the Final Draft Awards ...

The writers of standout 2021 TV programmes, as well as the husband-wife team of and, writers, will receive special honors at the 17th annual, according to Final Draft, a Cast & Crew Company.

The 2016 edition will be held on March 16, and will feature 15 minutes of discussions between each honoree and another respected writer.

The Hall of Fame Award is presented to Del Toro, who, together with his wife Kim Morgan, co-adapted Nightmare Alley from William Lindsay Gresham's 1946 novel.

The Award for Best Writers, compiled by Thomas Savage in 1967, will be presented to Campion.

The Storyteller Award recognizes writers who maintain a level of excellence and exceed expectations. It is awarded to both a writer of films (this year Holofcener, who most recently joined Ben Affleck and Matt Damon in adapting The Last Duel from Eric Jager's 2004 book of the same name) and a TV writer (this year Strong, who adapted Dopesick from Beth Macy's 2018 book of the same name).

The New Voice Award recognizes resultante and vital talents in the industry, and is also awarded to both a filmmaker of films (this year Samuel, who, with Boaz Yakin, wrote The Harder They Fall), and a television writer (Nickerson and Lyle, who wrote the drama series Yellowjackets).

Storytellers have been recognized throughout history for their ability to connect us," Final Draft president Shelly Mellott said in a statement. We could not be more proud to honor them and their outstanding work and their impact on our culture.
