FLINT, MI -- A sergeant from the Flint Fire Department announced this week that the agency would start charging Flint Community Schools for calls, but it caught the Board of Education by surprise.

According to Flint Fire Chief Raymond Barton, the appearance was merely a retaliation to get the conversation started.
