For the 2022 season, the Midland Area Farmers Market will return to Dow Diamond

MIDLAND, MI On Saturday, May 7, the Midland Area Farmers Market will return to Dow Diamond for the 2022 season.

The market was previously located near the Tridge and moved to the Dow Diamond East parking lot in May 2020 due to historic flooding that left parts of Midland and the surrounding area under water.

According to a news release in the Midland Area Farmers Market, the location allows vendors and customers to spread out much more.

Chris Mundhenk, the President and General Manager of the Loons, said the Loons and MBF we hope Dow Diamond will serve as the location for the Midland Area Farmers Market in 2022.

We fully support the MBAs mission and commitment to the Farmers Market growth, and look forward to seeing thousands of people visiting the farmers market next year at Dow Diamond, Mundhenk said.

Emily Lyons, the owner of the Midland Area Farmers Market, said in a statement that we cant thank the Great Lakes Loons enough for their collaboration to house the company at Dow Diamond. They stepped in during our time of need to help us keep the market open for our community not only through a pandemic lockdown but also tragic flooding.

On Wednesdays and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 13 p.m., the market will be open from November 9 to noon.

In early February, vendor applications will be available on the MBA's website.
