A school choice fair will be held at the Houston Zoo in 2022, with the National School Choice Week being celebrated
HOUSTON, Jan. 15, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- On Saturday, Jan. 22, several hundred families and educators will gather to discuss school choice in the Houston Zoo. The free fair will include traditional public, charter, private, and home education, and will provide the opportunity to engage with school representatives, and ask questions about their options.
The outdoor fair will be held at the Masihara Pavilion at 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day, as well as face painting, a bounce house, and a chance to interact with zoo animals, including a DJ, a photobooth, and other family-friendly activities.
The first 300 people in attendance will receive free admission to the zoo, although RSVPs are required.
The National School Choice Week will be held on January 23-29, 2022, and will include major school fairs in more than a dozen cities in the United States, as well as the Houston event.
"We are thrilled to be able to partner with the Houston Zoo and National School Choice Week to help families find schools that are beneficial to them."
Families who are unable to attend in person are invited to use the Houston Zoo to find schools and access application links.
