At the Annual School Choice Fair, Charleston Families will receive free school supplies
CHARLESTON, S.C., January 15, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Each school booth at the fair will feature a school supply, which gives children the opportunity to fill up on free school supplies.
School fairs will take place in more than a dozen cities across the United States, including Las Vegas, Jersey City, and Colorado Springs on Saturday, January 22.
The Charleston school fair is open to all families, and more than 450 community members are expected to attend. There are also face painting, balloon art, music, and student performances, as well as raffle drawings.
This event will coincide with the National School Choice Week's opening day of January 23-29, 2022, which will feature more than 26,000 school choice events across all 50 states.
"Education is the one way to equalize individuals in society," said Dr. Shaunette Parker, a social worker at My South Carolina Education. "We are excited about the growth of new education options and the success of our students in 2022."

The National School Choice Week shines a spotlight on effective K-12 education options for children, focusing on traditional public, charter, magnet, and internet, education and open houses. Every January, participants plan tens of thousands of celebrations such as school fairs and open houses to raise awareness about school choice in all 50 states.
