"We want to connect families with educators so that they can find the best educational environment for their children," said Amanda Kieffer, a communications director at the Cardinal Institute for West Virginia Policy.

The Hope Scholarship program in West Virginia is expected to begin the fall 2022 school year, and it allows eligible families to utilize the state portion of their child's education funding to provide an individual learning experience for their kids. Examples of this include tutoring, educational therapy, private school, a non-public online program, or extracurricular activities.

The Cardinal Institute for West Virginia Policy, a nonprofit established in partnership with West Virginia Voices for Education Choices, a group of parents, students, teachers, and schools who believe education choice is critical to the creation of opportunities.

The Oglebay Resort is located at 465 Lodge Dr. in Wheeling.

Each year, school Choice Week draws a spotlight on effective K-12 educational options for children, focusing on traditional public, charter, magnet, and online, private, and home education options.
