GREEN BAY, Wis., Jan. 15, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- On Friday, January 28, a series of hundred students will showcase their talents and the power of education in the legendary Lambeau Stadium.

The celebration will take place at 5 p.m. with a pep band performance, a photo booth, a raffle, and a social for students. Attendees will hear from guest speakers, participate in musical and artistic performances, and meet the winners of the Hispanic School Choice Art Contest.

Tommy Thompson, the longest-serving governor in Wisconsin history, will give a voice to students on the impact of education freedom. The event will continue with the presentation of a "Choice Champion" award and a $1,000 scholarship to a student who is participating in the school choice program.

The Lambeau Stadium event is planned to coincide with the National School Choice Week's January 23-29, 2022, opening with more than 26,000 school choice events in all 50 states.

"We're listening to Wisconsin's pioneering programs, which would give all families greater control over their children's education," said Nicholas Kelly, president of School Choice Wisconsin.

Tommy Thompson, the former Wisconsin Governor, will serve as the keynote speaker for the event. "Governor Thompson is a hero to the school choice movement. Thanks to his leadership, we recently celebrated more than 30 years of parent choice in Wisconsin."

School Choice Wisconsin is a non-profit that works to empower parents by generating, supporting, and promoting the ideas and policies that provide vibrant and quality education in Wisconsin.

The Lambeau Stadium is located at 1265 Lombardi Ave. The celebration will be held in the Lambeau Field Atrium.
