The F1 Drive to Survive F1 team is taking on a golf and tennis series

Netflix and Box to Box Films are expanding from Formula 1 to following pro golf and tennis players.

With its docuseries, Netflix has brought a horde of new fans to F1. Now, the streaming service is taking on professional golf and tennis, collaborating with the producers behind the two new shows.

The Australian Open, which is scheduled to take place in Melbourne, will follow a year in the life of the world's most renowned tennis players.

Netflix said Friday that the tennis series will be the "first sports program of its kind to provide an equal platform to the men's and women's competitors.."

Netflix will follow pro golf players through the Masters Tournament, the PGA Championship, the US Open Championship, and the Open, as well as The Players championship and the FedExCup.

"With unprecedented access inside the ropes and behind the scenes, the series will capture the intensity of training, travel, victory, and defeat through the lens of a diverse group of players and their support teams," Netflix said.

"We are delighted to have gotten to know the sport quite like this," said Brandon Riegg, Netflix's VP of Unscripted and Documentary Series.
