The Santa Clause series on Disney Plus will feature Tim Allen
Tim Allen is set to fall again on the big red suit.
In a new limited series set to arrive on the market, Walt Disney Studios announced on Friday that the Michigan native would reprise his role as Scott Calvin from the 1994 Christmas hit The Santa Claus.
Disney's disclosures were limited outside of the announcement, but that the series will deal with Allen's character who hopes to replace him after he realizes he's getting too old to be Santa Claus.
Jack Burditt, who produced the Allen comedy series Last Man Standing, will perform as a producer and showrunner in the The Santa Clause series, according to Variety. Allen will execute produce alongside directing.
This will be the fourth time Allen has portrayed the character. In addition to the beloved 1994 film, he starred in two sequels, The Santa Clause 2 and The Escape Clause, but none of them were well received.
Allen, who grew up in Birmingham, has a long-standing relationship with Disney, bringing Buzz Lightyear to the forefront in four Toy Story films.
Allen's fans will get excited about the Santa Claus series.
