Storm Reid joins HBO's 'The Last Of Us' Series Adaptation As Riley

Deadline's series adaptation, starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, will be released in the upcoming month, according to the creators of Craig Mazin and The Last Of Us.

The Last of Us, a video game developed by Naughty Dog, has been launched 20 years since the virus destroyed modern civilization. Joel (Pascal) is a hardened survivor and is now employed as a cure-searching charity.

Riley Abel, a young orphaned girl, is in the post-apocalyptic Boston. In The Last of Us: Left Behind, a DLC to the original video game Riley (originally voiced by Yaani King) accompanies and survives with her best friend Ellie before she meets Joel

The Last of Us stars Anna Torv, Merle Dandrige, Nick Offerman, Nico Parker, Gabriel Luna, Jeffrey Pierce, and Murray Bartlett in the cast.

Kantemir Balagov is directing the pilot episode of The Last of Us, a collaboration with Sony Pictures Television. The television series, based on Naughty Dog's video game, is being produced exclusively on PlayStation platforms.

Druckmann and Mazin write and executive produce; Carolyn Strauss also executive produces alongside Naughty Dog president Evan Wells, Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan of PlayStation Productions as well as Rose Lam.

Her upcoming films include When They See Us and The Bravest Knight. Reid has performed with Oprah, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, and Chris Pine in the 2018 film. In 2019, she joined the cast of Euphoria as Gia Bennett, the younger sister to Zendaya's Rue.

CAA, Management 360, The Lede Company, and Felker Toczek Suddleson and Abramson are all represented by her.
