Interaction between Tigard and Tualatin in athletic competition during distance learning

As a result of the Tigard-Tualatin School District, schools will not be able to return to athletic competition.

According to Tigard High School Athletic Director Alan Boschma, the district intends to begin practice on January 19th, although the school is currently scheduled to return to in-person training.

Tualatin's boys basketball team, currently the No. 1 in the 6A category in the Timberwolves, has not played in a game since their trip to Link Academy on December 30.

Schools have responded by extending their COVID-19 application to more people who are learning remotely.

Portland Public Schools announced on Tuesday that, owing to absences, the city is on remote learning.

The Oregon School Activities Association has not yet gotten involved in how schools operate while in remote learning, leaving the decisions to the school participants.
