Tim Allen will appear in the 'The Santa Clause' series on Disney Plus
Tim Allen is set to fall back on the slew of the big red suit once more.
In a new limited series coming to Walt Disney Studios on Friday, the Michigan native will resume his role as Scott Calvin from the holiday hit The Santa Claus.
According to Disney, the details of the series were limited, but the series will deal with Allen's character looking for his replacement soon after he realizes he is getting too old to be Santa Claus.
Jack Burditt, who has directed the Allen-led comedy show Last Man Standing, will be executive producer and showrunner on the The Santa Clause series, according to Variety.
Allen will be the fourth time the character has been featured in the 1994 film. In addition to the beloved 1994 film, he has appeared in two sequels, The Santa Clause 2 and The Escape Clause, although those werent as well received critically.
Allen, who grew up in Birmingham, has a long history of working with Disney. In four Toy Story films, he has voiced Buzz Lightyear.
Allen's fans will be welcomed by today's announcement of the Santa Claus series, according to Disney.
