Al Ahly is back to win an African Super Cup in shootout ...

DOHA, December 22 - The Egyptian giants Al Ahly scored the last gasp equaliser and then went on to win in a post-match shootout as they beat Raja Casablanca 6-5 on penalties after 1-1 stalemate on Wednesday with Doha to win a record-extending African Super Cup.

As it turned out, no longer than 30 seconds to draw 1-1 with no than 90 minutes to give Ahly a trophy and go on and take the trophy in a penalty shootout.

Both teams converted their first eleven kicks with a 6-5 winner with Abdelilah Madkour beating Rajas sixth effort down the crossbar.

With the victory on 13th minute, the Raja right back was the one who set an early breakaway goal by the Moroccan side. Hamid Ahadad used the finishing touch as Madkours effort moved toward goal after deflecting off the defender.

Raja continued as an increasingly desperate Al Ahly died to their defence in the annual meeting of the winners of the African Championship and African Confederation Cup last season.

Ahly eventually broke through as he put up the player Taher in the 89th minute to score, as he put up close rage as he left a home.

The world cup hosts Qatar staged a super cup match first.
