Dec 22 - Compass Health Brands recalls approximately 104,900 of its bed rails after receiving reports of three deaths related to some of the products, a Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) said on Wednesday.

The recall relates to the Carex bed support rails and Easy Up 2-in-1 bed rails sold from 2012 and 2021 in the United States and Canada.

Compass Health was unavailable for comment.

The CPSC said that the deaths of the bed support rails were between April 2014 and June 2020 in the United States, and involving people under age 84.

According to the CPSC, the rail that had been broken down into the bed wasn't correct in each incident. The user was entrapped between the product and their mattress.

Compass Health hasn't received any reports of entrapment incidents about its Easy Up products, said the CPSC.
