December 22, 2011 - Abid Ali, who plays the Pakistan cricket court, has undergone a second procedure on Wednesday after suffering from acute coronary syndrome.
An acute coronary syndrome affects the rapid blood flow in the heart.
Abid was diagnosed with the heart condition on Tuesday after he complained of chest pain during a domestic first-class match.
"Abid underwent a second procedure today, and after the procedure was successfully finished, he recovered," the paper said.
"The PCB medical team liazes with the interventional Cardiologist regarding further treatment and rehabilitation. Abid is currently stable."
The 34-year-old played 16 football matches and six matches on one-day internationals for Pakistan.
