Now, the veteran guard is getting shot again.
The Atlanta Hawks signed a 10-day contract with Stephenson on Wednesday. The 31-year-old was playing for the Grand Rapids Gold of the NBA G League, where he averaged 19.8 points and 8.3 rebounds in 12 games.
Stephenson played for Los Angeles Lakers during the 2018-19 season with a total of 7.2 points and 3.2 rebounds in 68 games (three starts). He spent his first four seasons with the Indiana Pacers before moving around to the Charlotte Hornets, Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, New Orleans Pelicans, Minnesota Timberwolves and the Cleveland Browns.
In 508 career games (199 starts), Stephenson has averaged 8,6 points and 4,2 rebounds.
Before attempting to return to the G League this season, Stephenson spent his time in China for the first time since the 20th-year-old was born.
The Hawks signed Malcolm Hill to a 10-day contract on Wednesday. The former Illinois player isveraging 16,9 points and 6,6 rebounds in the Birmingham squad of the G League.
