Statistics Service reported today that Ghana's economy grew 6,6% in the third quarter of 2021, the fastest since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
"The 6.6% growth rate we recorded for the third quarter of 2021 is the closest it's ever been to the pre-2020 period, when COVID was just about to start," said an economist at a conference.
"The growth that we recorded pushed us closer to the GDP in the Pre-COVID-19 era, despite the fact that we recorded a 9% growth in the first quarter of 2019," added he.
Ghana's economy grew by 0.4% in the full year of 2020.
