The white house announced that the president will make public statements on the anniversary of the deadly attack on the U.S. Capitol jan. 6 by his supporters, Donald Trump.

"I think it's safe to say that Americans will hear from him on that day," said the White House press secretary at a news briefing.

She said it hasn't been finished yet.

In the days following the election, four people died, and one officer of the Capitol died from injuries sustained during the defending of Congress. A hundred police were injured in the multi-hour onslaught by Trump supporters. In the past four officers died in an accident.

Republican president Trump was accused of tampering with the rioters who marched to the Capitol after hearing him speak outside the White House. He told the crowd of supporters he would never concede the Nov. 3 election and asked them to "fight like hell" before going to the Capitol. It was a political effort before they rushed to the Capitol where legislators were waiting to confirm his victory.

More than 700 people have been arrested in connection with the attack on the Capitol. The congressional committee is investigating the attack, including Trump's actions and efforts to reverse the election results.

Trump said on Tuesday that he'd hold a news conference on Jan. 6 to discuss what the business had been doing for the day.
