The Premiere Date Of The First Turkish Electric Crossover Togg Revealed
The official debut of the Turkish electric crossover Togg will take place in 2022, according to the German publication Handelsblatt.
It is worth noting that the Turkish authorities announced their plans to launch automobile production in the country at the end of 2019. The firstborn of the Turkish car industry should be the Togg brand.
The company's CEO, Gurkan Karakas, confirmed at an online conference that the first electric crossover would appear in dealerships in 18 months. At the same time, Germany will become the first importer of Togg cars. And then Turkish models will appear in Italy and France.
The Turkish automaker is determined and ready to join the fight in the electric car market.
It is worth noting that Togg has solid support from the Turkish Ministry of industry and a consortium of independent companies. About 2.6 billion euros have been invested in the project so far.
Earlier, Cadillac held an online premiere of the new luxury electric crossover Cadillac Lyriq, assembled on a modular platform of the next generation. The power reserve on a single charge of the car is about 483 km.
Officially established on June 28, 2018, TOGG introduced the first pre-screening vehicle and its Sedan concept, revealing the point of design and engineering works only 18 months after its establishment, to lay the foundation of its factory in the heart of the Turkish Automotive Industry being at Gemlik district of Bursa, in 2020. By 2030, it will produce 5 different models on a joint e-platform, with fully owned intellectual and industrial property rights.
