The US Grants $17 Million In Aid To Lebanon After The Beirut Explosion
The US authorities allocated $17 million to Lebanon as emergency aid after a strong explosion occurred in the seaport of Beirut, according to the US Embassy in the Lebanese capital.
"The US has already allocated $17 million in emergency aid to deal with the consequences of the terrible explosion. Washington will continue to support the people of Lebanon," the US diplomatic mission said in a message posted on Twitter. It also notes that aid includes, among other things, the supply of medicines and food.
