Andrea McArdle Stepping From the NBC 's 'Annie Live!' Due To Family Matters, ' Andrea McArdle Sadly, ...

Annie Live!, the first Broadway-born star, has lost her job from Eleanor Roosevelt, in the forthcoming Annie Live! special because she is a family matter.

I wish everyone involved with the production great success. Break a leg everybody.

We love Andrea McArdle and our entire company is sending a lot of best wishes to his father and our Annie, Celina Smith. Our Annie, is thrilled to meet her and excited to follow her incredible footsteps.

NBC confirmed her casting in the new adaptation on Nov 16th.

As well earlier this month, NBC announced that Megan Hilty would take over the role of Lily St Regis after she had pneumonia at Covid-19.

The Eleanor Roosevelt role is small. She appears with Franklin D. Roosevelt, and is playing FDR in the ABC special, becoming first actor with polio in the role of a famous president who has the same disability.

The actor is not announced as a replacement for McArdle. The cast includes Taraji P. Henson as Miss Hannigan, Harry Connick Jr. as Daddy Warbucks, Nicole Scherzinger as Grace and Tituss Burgess as Rooster.

Annie Live!'s airing on NBC Thursday, Dec. 2 at 8.
