A man from Rhode Island was killed after he crashed into a tree on a car near Mansfield on friday morning, state police said.
The trip to the southbound corner of the interstate at 5:30, and where they found a 2009 Lexus sedan in the median. The police said that, and that it struck a tree in the median, the Troopers arrived to mile marker 33, the southbound side at 7.
The driver, a 39-year-old man from Rumford, R.I., was the only one killed by paramedics. There was no other car in the scene. The victim hasn't been identified.
The left and middle lanes of the I-495 closed as investigators and the cleanup crew were on site. The area was cleared about 7:30.
State police said that the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
