Oleg Deripaska Asks The US Treasury To Provide The Court With Additional Documents On Its Sanctions
Russian businessman Oleg Deripaska asks the US Treasury to provide additional documents to the US court, including those based on which the Agency decided to impose sanctions against the entrepreneur, which follows from the corresponding petition posted on Thursday evening in the electronic database of the American judicial system.
In particular, the Russian businessman believes that the court must have "all the documents reviewed"...> the defendant when the Office of foreign assets control of the US Treasury entered Oleg Deripaska in the list of sanctions, " as well as documents based on which the Ministry of Finance in March refused to remove restrictions from the Russian businessman.
Besides, we are talking about " the evidentiary Memorandum underlying the decision to impose sanctions against Viktor Vekselberg and the Renova group of companies <...> or documents and materials related to the reasons for the introduction of these restrictive measures."
"The defendants submitted factual statements regarding the grounds for their actions, which are not supported in the attached administrative records.<...> Deripaska is doing this [asking for additional materials to be provided to the court] solely to ensure that the court can fully perform its duties to "check the actions of the Department for compliance with administrative records," the petition says.
