Trump Called China The Record Holder For The Number Of Victims Of Coronavirus
Donald Trump believes that China is ahead of the United States in the number of deaths from a coronavirus infection. He wrote about this on April 17 on his Twitter.
He made the corresponding statement after the authorities of the Chinese city of Wuhan, which has become the epicenter of the spread of COVID-19, recalculated data on the number of infected and victims of the disease.
According to updated data, the number of coronavirus victims in Wuhan has increased by about a third to 3,869, with the total number of infected people at 50,333, an increase of just 325.
"Their [deaths from coronavirus] are much higher than this figure and much more than in the US!" trump said.
According to Worldometer on April 18, more than 700 thousand people were infected with the coronavirus in the United States, of which more than 37 thousand died.
In turn, in China, 82 thousand cases of coronavirus infection were recorded, a total of 4.6 thousand residents died, according to the statistical table.
The spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes CAVID-19 disease, began in late December last year in Wuhan.
According to the US authorities, China has kept quiet about the scale of the outbreak and has taken insufficient measures to prevent a pandemic.
