Philips Presents 498P9 Brilliance, A 48.8-Inch Mega-Display
Philips introduces the 498P9 Brilliance of a super-wide-Curved-LCD-Monitor. Thanks to a 48.8-inch screen, which has a ratio of 32:9, buyers now can get rid of a second Monitor in the office or the Home Office in the future.
According to the manufacturer, the superwide Curved LCD Philips 498P9 Brilliance has been specially developed for professional users and is intended to bring along several attractive features in addition to its huge 48.8-inch Display (just under 124 cm; resolution: 5,120 x 1,440) with the image ratio 32:9.
The VA Panel is designed to provide a native contrast of 3,000:1, a refresh rate of 70 Hertz, a strong DeltaE color accuracy < 2), and a high Gamut coverage (sRGB 121%, AdobeRGB 91%).
The Dual QHD resolution is intended to provide crisp images, which is further enhanced by SmartImage technology; this ensures that the displayed content is analyzed to optimize display performance. If you want to play a few games after work, you can enjoy them smoothly, thanks to Adaptive-Sync technology.
For a comfort usage, the Monitor can be tilted, swiveled, and height adjusted via the ergonomic compact Ergo Base. The LowBlue Mode reduces the amount of blue light, while the Flicker-Free technique is intended to reduce image flicker.
Also, buyers of the Philips Monitor should not lack connection options - DisplayPort, HDMI, and USB 3.2 are all on board. MultiClient KVM Switch and MultiView function also allow simultaneous control of two devices (for example, Laptop and PC) with a single monitor-keyboard-mouse setup-the the active dual connection allows switching between sources with a simple push of a button.
To score sustainability points, Philips has integrated a zero-Watt toggle switch into the 498P9, which completely separates the device from the power grid.
The Philips 498P9 will be available from August 2020 to 949 euros.
