In the Broyles Award nomination ceremony, the new assistant coach Alex Mirabal has been nominated for the Broyles Award.

Mirabal among 59 nominees selected by the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA), broadcasters, a college football hall of fame selection committee and current college head coaches.

Oregon has its eighth rushing offense and the fifth overall draft of its Pac-12 division (Paz-12), making 3.6 tackles per game and a tenth national total of 3,14 sack per game, compared to the remaining 2,876 sacks per game. The Ducks are the first to have the only 10th of the country.

A 43-member selection committee of former head coaches, broadcasters and a committee representing the FWAA will pick fifteen semi-finalists and five finalists for the Broyles Award.

Steve Sarkisian was awarded the award last season while playing an offensive coordinator at Alabama.
