In The Shade will begin a new film festival in Auckland, New Zealand early next year, focusing on local market premieres with awards aspirations and festival favorites.
Dos Ojos, the festival's name for cinephiles, 'opens on 19 January and runs through the 30th of Jan 22 22 in the South Hemisphere summer - and will take place in New Zealand's biggest city.
On August 7th, New Zealand premiere, Guillermo del Toros Nightmare Alley. The initial lineup includes an unassumingly acclaimed film like The Eyes of Tammy Faye, the Oscar-winning actor Forever and the renowned producer for the film The Star of the Dead.
The festival will also include a new restoration of the 60s Euro-thriller Purple Noon starring Alain Delon and the iconic 2000 Australian film Chopper. More titles will be announced in the coming weeks.
