Epix became the first international buyer of Steven Knights BBC1 drama SAS: Rogue Heroes by Peaky Blinders.
Epix has reached a deal with Banijay Rights distributor for the six-parter, which is manufactured by Kudos and Nebulastar, who are indie and released by Banijay-backed Kudos & Co., but does not cover the event that the SAS was formed during the Second World War.
The series was developed for TV by Knight, according to a book titled "Councils: Dominic, Jack OConnell, Connor Swindells and Alfie Allen and starring in The Game of Thrones by Sex Education, with Swindells leading as a very radical participant. It comes after a vision of a radical plan if characterized by modern warfare.
The deal was negotiated by Matt Creasey, EVP Sales, Co-Productions and Acquisitions of Banijay Rights, and marks the first international sale of the show.
