After Hearing Of A Host Work Environment, Ex-Suns Employees Getting Messages They Think Are A Threat ...

Robert Sarvers tenure as the Phoenix Suns owner has been under increased scrutiny in recent days following a report from ESPN reporting that he fosters racial, sexism, and sexual harassment. The NBA has launched an investigation into Sarvers and the franchise in the wake of the allegations.

Sarvers wife, Penny, responded to these allegations and the investigation by reaching out to a trio of ex-Suns employees two via her Instagram account, and one via text one of the ex employees described the correspondence they received from Sarvers as a threat.

Sarver addressed two messages to its recipient, one with the words, Think about your own child for a second and imagine the tables turned, the other with,Your interpretation of what happened is so far from the truth. You are ruining my family and children. In the third, Sarvers addressed its receiver with,,You are sarcastic. In your attempt to destroy my husband with your lies you have destroyed my entire family.

Sarver denied sending the messages, but she did back down in a statement to ESPN about their implication.

Penny Sarver said she decided to reach out to a few people on her own to try to put the record straight and to tell how disappointed and hurt I am by the lies that are spreading about my husband and the Suns organization over the weekend. I shared the betrayal that I felt and I touched on some of the pain that we are going through as family.

Any suggestion that I tried to intimidate anyone is as silly as it is wrong and outrageous, he added.

Sarver isnt sure how she knew these individuals spoke to ESPN for its original article on her husbands alleged behavior, or why she thought reaching out to these people was a good idea.
