China Is Considering Options To Respond To The Closure Of The Consulate In Houston
China is considering a reasoned and justified response to the decision of the United States to close the Chinese Consulate in the American city of Houston (Texas), according to Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin at a briefing on Thursday.
"In response to [the United States'] unjustified and unwarranted actions against China, we will take an appropriate, reasoned, and reasoned decision to safeguard our legitimate interests," he said.
At the same time, the diplomat did not confirm or deny the information about the possible closure of the United States Consulate in Wuhan or Chengdu in response to the actions of the American side.
On Tuesday, Washington demanded that Beijing close the diplomatic mission in Houston within 72 hours. Later, the Reuters News Agency, citing sources, reported that China is considering closing the American Consulate in Wuhan as a response.
