Seven Children Died In A Homemade Bomb Explosion In Nigeria

Seven children died on July 18 in Northern Nigeria by an improvised explosive device, according to the Nigerian newspaper This Day.

"The victims, according to local sources, were on the farm of one Huseini Maikwai in search of grasses for their domestic animals when the device detonated," local government official Ishiyaku Abubakar was quoted as saying. "Seven were killed on the spot, four were seriously injured and are now in hospital;" Abubakar added that the events took place in the village of Yamama in Katsina state.
