Vladimir Putin and Abdelmajid Tebbun confirmed their intention to coordinate on OPEC+ and in the fight against the pandemic.
The presidents of Russia and Algeria, Vladimir Putin and Abdelmajid Tebbun, confirmed their intention to strengthen their strategic partnership, including in the framework of the OPEC+ deal and the fight against coronavirus, according to the Kremlin's press service
following a telephone conversation between the leaders, which was initiated by the Algerian side.
"We have confirmed our mutual commitment to further strengthen the Russian-Algerian strategic partnership in various areas, including coordination on the global oil market in the context of implementing the OPEC+ agreement and cooperation in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic," the statement reads.
Besides, in a telephone conversation, the President of Algeria "congratulated the President of Russia and the Russian people on the successful conduct of the vote on approving changes to the Constitution of the Russian Federation."
The leaders agreed to continue Russian-Algerian contacts at various levels, the press service added.
