China Has Imposed Sanctions On Four US Lawmakers
China has imposed sanctions on four us lawmakers as a response to the US previously imposing visa and financial restrictions on four former and current officials from China, according to a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying.
"The actions of the American side (to impose sanctions on Chinese officials) are a gross interference in China's internal Affairs, grossly violate the basic principles of international relations, and cause serious damage to Chinese-American relations. The Chinese side strongly condemns this. In response to the illegal actions of the American side, China decided to impose sanctions against the US Ambassador for international religious freedom Sam Brownback, senators Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, and Congressman Chris Smith," the diplomat said.
