The First Luxury Helicopter Ansat Aurus Will Be Delivered In 2020
Rostec plans to hand over the first Ansat Aurus luxury helicopter to the customer this year, the first Deputy head of the State Corporation Vladimir Artyakov told TASS in an interview.
"To date, we are at an advanced stage of negotiations with several customers, and we expect to hand over the first helicopter this year," he said. Artyakov added that at the beginning of the year, the Ansat Aurus successfully passed a series of flight tests, following which the Federal air transport Agency approved changes to the helicopter certificate, allowing the operation of the Ansat in this modification.
"As for production plans, all over the world corporate helicopters, which include the Ansat Aurus, are a piece and exclusive product. Large-scale methods of sales planning are not quite applicable to them. Therefore, the volume of production will largely be determined by the needs and wishes of our customers," Artyakov said.
Earlier, the Minister of industry and trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov said that sales of the Ansat Aurus helicopter are planned at the level of 20-25 units per year, starting in 2021.
At the MAKS-2019 international aerospace salon in Zhukovsky, Moscow, in August 2019, the Ansat helicopter was presented with a high-comfort cabin designed in the style of the Aurus brand. The interior design project was created by specialists of the Russian Helicopters holding company and the automobile And motor research Institute (NAMI). The modification is aimed at the market of corporate and VIP transportation.
The Kazan helicopter plant has been producing the light twin-engine multi-purpose Ansat helicopter since 2013.
