Teen in critical condition after being shot in the head while staying at friend's house. After being hit in head, he is recovering in hospital
According to numerous reports, police are investigating an overnight shooting that left a teenager in critical condition. 13 bullets were fired into the home where the victim, two other children, and two adults were also sleeping, according to WDIV Detroit, but no one else was injured in the shooting.
The 14-year-old victim was shot in the head during the shooting and taken to a nearby hospital. He does not live in the house where the shooting took place, but was staying the night with a friend.
According to Fox 2 Detroit, police believe the shooting was targeted, but they do not believe that the teen was the intended target. Shot spotter picked up the shots fired and police are hoping that neighbor cameras will assist in identifying the shooter or vehicle used.
Police have not identified any suspects.
