Michael Lynton, Josh Berger, and Josh Benny Join the Board of Britain's Secret Cinema

Michael Lynton, Warner Music Group chairman and former Sony top executive Michael Lloyd and Josh Berger, the former president and managing director of Warner Bros. U.K., Ireland, and Spain, are joining the board of British immersive movie experience company Secret Cinema with immediate effect.

Secret Cinema, which produces award-winning immersive shows that bring to life iconic movies and TV adaptations into groundbreaking in-person experiences, said the firm on Wednesday.

For example, the firm recreated the films Hill Valley on a site in East London for screenings of Back to the Future. Secret Cinema invited fans to a secret London location for Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, with those interested told to look out for spooky codes on forgotten buildings that would lead to an unbreakable portal. It has also expanded to China and the United States.

Lynton has served as Warner Music chair since 2019 and has also held the same role at Snap since the announcement in 2017. Prior to that, he spent more than a decade at Sony, including as CEO of Sony Entertainment, where il oversaw all of the companys worldwide entertainment businesses, such as Sony Music Entertainment (SME), Sony/ATV Music Publishing (APO), and Sony Pictures Entertainment.

After 30 years with the studio, Berger has decided to step down from his most recent Warner Bros. role. He also served as the world's franchise development chief for Harry Potter. Said Berger: I've had the privilege of working with film characters for more than 20 years, and I'm looking forward to using that experience to help bring those screen tales to life in Secret Cinema's unique in-person experiences.
