Darrell Taylor, a Seattle defensive lineman, suffered what appeared to be recurrent neck injury while making heiress stance during the Seahawks game against the Pittsburgh Steelers tonight on Sunday Night Football.

The Seahawks edge rusher appeared to run into another player while making a tackle. Taylor was hit from behind and his head compacted, or pushed downward into his shoulder area as he collided with a teammate on the play. Taylor was clearly in severe pain as players left the scrum, and trainers immediately came to the aid of the defender. Heres a look at the play:

While Taylor was ill and did not leave the field under his own control, Michele Tafoya of the Sunday Night Football broadcast team relayed a message that Taylor would be rushed to he Pittsburgh area hospital for further evaluation.
