Firefighters in Alabama rescued a familys cat and teen - from tassels over the weekend.

According to a Facebook post from the County Line Volunteer Fire Department, the teen had climbed the tree on Saturday in an attempt to save the beloved cat.

She ended up trapped in the tree with the cat.

The cat and teen were rescued from the tree without injuries, according to the fire department. Firefighters and first responders from other agencies responded, and firefighters and other crews got the cat from behind the branch without incident, the department said.

The cat was safely lowered back to the ground after firefighters using a fire trucks ladder to reach the part of the tree where the two were trapped and removing the cat from the pile.

No other information on the rescue had been released as of Sunday afternoon.
