A fire in eastern Pakistan killed seven family members overnight, a rescue official said Sunday.
The fire started at a house in the Ali Pur area of Muzaffar Garh district in Punjab province, according to rescue service chief Dr. Hussain Mian.
He claimed firefighters found charred bodies of a 65-year-old man, two women ages 35 and 19, three boys agers 3, 10 and 12, and 'a 2-month- old infant'.
Mian said the bodies have been taken for autopsy and forensic examination.
The cause of the fire is being investigated, police said, and investigators want to know why none of his family members woke up when the flame erupted.
