Check out the Coastal Alabama Football Player of the Week nominees for Week 9 of 2021 high school football season.

Coaches may post statistics after their games on Friday night or nominate players before noon each Saturday.

Tyjuan Able, St. Pauls: On 16 carries, Able ran for 129 yards and a pair of TDs as the Saints beat Elberta.

Christian Burnette, Faith Academy: Burnett ran for 218 yards and two touchdowns on just six carries in a win over Satsuma.

Aaron Carabin, McGill-Toolen: Blount's return from injury allowed him to connect with six different receivers and pass for 169 yards as the Yellow Jackets rolled over him.

Luke Freer, Fairhope As the Pirates defeated Baker 27-17, Freer kicked a pair of field goals, including 59-yarders to end the half. Freer also averaged 52.5 yards on two punts, kicked three extra points, and booted all six kickoffs into the end zone.

Josh Gandy, Excel In Excels win over Cottage Hill, Gandy ran for 186 yards and three touchdowns on 21 carries. He also rushed for 46 yards and a passing touchdown.

Zak Langham, Bayside Academy: Langham led a Bayside defense that forced four turnovers in october victory over Chickasaw. He finished with 13 tackles.

Ty Mims, Baldwin County: Baldwin Countys win at Gulf Shores saw Mims go 7-of-8 passing for 214 yards and 2 TDs. He ran for 117 yards and three touchdowns six times.

Clarke County: Jorwayne Robinson, JORWAYNE ROBINSON, Robinson rushed for 127 yards on 16 carries in Clarke Countys region-clinching victory over Leroy, which was won by the top-ranked county. He also led the team in tackles with 8 points.

Walter Taylor III, Jackson: Taylor threw for 193 yards and 3 touchdowns, and he rushed for 81 yards & two scores as Jackson defeated Mobile Christian.

Cash Turner, Orange Beach: The Makos defeated J.U. Blacksher 87-86 to claim a playoff spot. He also rushed 13 times for 93 yards and 4 touchdowns.
